 Mardi Gras Party
The Parishioners of St. John’s Catholic Church and their guests traveled “Way Down Yonder To New Orleans” on Friday February 12th to celebrate Mardi Gras and the Saints Super Bowl Victory.

 Rick Williams Ordained as a Deacon
On Oct 31st, many members of our parish journeyed to Portland to be present to celebrate the ordination of one our own, Rick Williams, as a Deacon.
The ordination took place in the beautiful Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception where Archbishop Vlazny ordained three men as Deacons in the Catholic Church.
Following the ordination, an official reception was held by the Diocese at the school, next to the Cathedral. Later in the afternoon, an unofficial reception was planned by our own church members back at the Holiday Inn Hotel where many were staying.
Rick has been invited to give the homilies at both Holy Trinity and St. John's Church on Saturday and Sunday, Nov 7 & 8. The 5pm Mass at Holy Trinity on Saturday will be followed by a reception. The Sunday Mass at Holy Trinity will be held at 8:30am and at St. John's at 10:30am, followed by a reception. |

 Join Us for Our PAC Meetings
Please join us for our PAC meeting which are held every other month. All church members are invited. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, March 31st at 6pm, with dinner preceeding it.

 Wedding Vow Renewal Mass
On Saturday, April 26th, parishioners Ken & Stephanie Brewer celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary and Rick & Vivian Williams celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary by renewing their wedding vows at a special mass followed by a reception. |
 Sweetheart Brunch
A new tradition has been established at St. John's...A Sweetheart Brunch. At least the women hope so! The gentlemen planned, prepared and served a brunch following Mass to honor the ladies for Valentine's Day. Phil Colozzi, who ran his own restaurant before he moved to Port Orford, was the head chef and chair of the event with Rick Williams as one of the many assistants. A number of the men met the day before to do the prep work and decorate the church. The next day, following Sunday Mass, the entire congregation was treated to a delicious brunch served by the men. All the ladies were given long stemmed red roses to take home. Thank you guys!!!! |
